Privacy Policy

How MUSICDJ collects, uses and protects your data — GDPR-compliant.

This Privacy Policy explains how MUSICDJ LLC (“MUSICDJ”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects your information when you use musicdj.net and our related services (the “Sites”). MUSICDJ is the data controller. By using the Sites you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

Information you provide — for example when you create an account, contact us or subscribe:

  • Identity & contact details: name, business name, email, phone, address;
  • Account & billing information (we do not store full card numbers — payments are handled by our payment providers);
  • Content and communications you send us.

Information collected automatically when you visit:

  • Device and usage data: browser type, IP address, pages viewed, dates/times and referring pages;
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).

How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account and provide the Service;
  • To process transactions and send related communications;
  • To provide support and respond to your requests;
  • To improve and secure the Sites and Service;
  • To send service updates and, where permitted, marketing — which you can opt out of at any time;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

Where the EU/EEA or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you request;
  • Consent — for analytics/marketing cookies and marketing emails (you may withdraw consent at any time);
  • Legitimate interests — to operate, secure and improve our Service, balanced against your rights;
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law.

Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies to run the Sites and, only with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies via our cookie banner, and change your choice at any time. See our Cookie Policy for details.

How we share information

We share information with service providers who help us operate the Service (for example hosting, payment, email and analytics providers) under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms; when required by law or to protect our rights; and, if our business is sold or reorganised, as part of that transaction. We do not sell your personal information.

International data transfers

We are based in the United States and may transfer and process your information there and in other countries. Where we transfer personal data from the EU/EEA, UK or Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. (We no longer rely on the invalidated EU-U.S. Privacy Shield.)

Data retention

We keep your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, to provide the Service, and to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Rectify inaccurate data;
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”);
  • Restrict or object to processing;
  • Data portability;
  • Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing);
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.

To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.

Security

We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (SSL/TLS) and access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The Sites are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new date. Last updated: 2026.
